It is that time of the year again – Spooky Season! To me, Halloween is the kickoff for the holiday season. I love decorating my house for Halloween and over the years it has become what some (mostly my husband and kids) would call a small obsession of mine.
I do aim for a lot of DIY Halloween decorations, but I like to mix in some store-bought items. Shopping online is just so convenient and as I searched for what I would like to add to my collection, I created this list for you. Here is my list of Top 10 Halloween Must Haves for 2023 – grab them before those price increases happen:

I have created a bunch of cutouts over the years and have been reusing them every year. Last year I added a decorating set that included plastic bats, a spider and some crows. For this year, you can’t beat the 140-piece PVC 3-D scary bat stickers collection. For only $9.99, this one is a steal!
This window (or door) decoration will give your house a haunted look for sure! It clings to the glass, so very easy to install. And this is just $13.95, so can buy multiples and decorate all over! And since there is no adhesive involved, you can reuse it year after year.
Now this can be a fun DIY project, or you can pay $19.99 and get a complete set of 6 cats, with three different shapes. Place them together or add them to other decoration groupings. Or even use them as templates for additional shapes. These signs include some glow-in-the-dark eye stickers, which I think is an extra nice touch.
Paying just a little more as our yard signs above – $23.99 – you could also pick up a set of 3 spider egg sacks. Not only can they be used indoors or outdoors, but they light up and are covered in spiders. Stretched out over just over 3 feet tall they are sure to be a fun and creepy addition.
How do you feel about hanging a skeleton grim reaper outside your door this year? I like the light-up LED eyes and bonus scream feature of this battery-operated prop. Indoor or outdoor – your guests will get a great kick out of this one. And you can’t beat the $29.99 price tag. And remember, this one is life-size, at about 5 feet and 5 inches tall. It isn’t waterproof, so using it on the porch or in a covered area would be best if you don’t want it inside your house.
I don’t think Halloween is complete without one of these life-size hanging cocoon corpses. And $33.99 is not a bad price for such a large item. At 6 feet tall, this corpse will make quite an impact on your Halloween visitors. As a bonus, it folds nice and flat for easy storage for next year.
These four battery-operated hand stakes use LED lights and have 11 different light modes to choose from. This must-have is waterproof and can withstand some extreme outdoor conditions. Pose them as you wish and light up your Halloween! I don’t think $36.99 is a bad price for this reusable Halloween staple.
How about adding a poseable life-size witch to your collection? This battery-operated witch can also be used inside or outside, so no need to have her near an electrical outlet. She would look really good on a porch or protected from the elements if you decide to use her outside. I can’t decide if she will be inside or outside this year. What do you think? She comes in at $39.99, which is not a bad price at all.
I can’t get enough of the giant spiders and am building up a nice collection, if I may say so myself. While you can buy just one, I feel that for $43.99 this duo is an excellent choice. These are some big spiders, measuring over 6 feet in width. Imagine posing them on the outside of your house!
Human Skeleton walking his Dog
This one is my absolute favorite on this list for 2023. I have seen so many cool ways to use your skeletons outside as yard decor and I can’t wait to display this couple. A 5 foot 4 inches tall plastic skeleton with a dog skeleton on a leash – how can you beat this? Try out different poses for this couple and make those neighbors jealous! This sells for $69.99 and will give you lots of fun options all month long.
Go ahead and order your items as soon as possible! I can already see higher prices than last week and Halloween is around the corner. Remember, shopping for, making decorations and putting them up is half the fun!
